EMSNP has received notification for the Bureau of EMS regarding the link for the EMS Registry application, which does the Con Ed and Ambulance License applications as well.

The old link https://ems.state.heaklth.state.pa.us/emso/ no longer works and takes you to an old page which does not allow you to log in. The new link is https://ems.health.state.pa.us/emsportal/ and should be used when attempting to access the registry system.

Please make sure that if you have the old link saved under your favorites, or in your history menu, that you resave the new and correct address and delete the old address.

Safety Alert - PPL Pole Treatment

Osmose Corporation is treating PPL poles with a product called MITC Fume, a wood preservative pesticide to control wood rot and decay -causing fungi. MITC Fume is a solid/crystallized chemical in an aluminum tube placed into bored holes at the base of a pole, one foot below ground line to three feet above ground line.

NE PA ALS Services Deployment - Hurricane Gustav

Emergency Medical Services of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. would like to extend a sincere thanks and a “Job Well Done” to the six ALS services of our Strike team that deployed on August 29, 2008 to Louisiana for Hurricane Gustav. Their missions included but were not limited to evacuating hospitals; setting up triage in hard hit areas; assisting the state of Louisiana with running special needs evacuation areas and returning patients to hospitals after the hurricane passed. These “Brave” team members had to “weather” out the hurricane during its landfall and trip through Louisiana.



Reporting Suspected Child Abuse

PA State Certified First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics are usually the first ones on the scene of a reported injury to a child. Sometimes that injury is related to abuse. As a Pennsylvania First Responder, EMT or Paramedic it is your responsibility to report cases of suspected child abuse.
