COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program is a "bridge"
course from the First Responder to Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
It consists of an additional seventy-seven (77) hours of training that
recognizes you have already had substantial training to meet First Responder
certification requirements.
PREREQUISITES
Participation in this
program is limited and will be conducted on a "first-come, first-served"
basis. This program will be extensive in nature and will cover all aspects
of emergency care. It will prepare the student for successful completion
of certification examinations to attain EMT certification from the Pennsylvania
Department of Health. A photo ID must be
presented on registration night.
This course will begin on Monday,
October 27, 2008 and will conclude with certification
exams as follows:
Practical Exam will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at
7:00 PM.
Written Exam will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 7:00
PM.
COURSE FEE
The fee for the course, including all instructional materials and supplies,
is $200.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to EMSNP and may
be submitted with the course registration form. Any person who has not pre-registered
must be prepared to make payment to EMSNP on registration night. A $20.00
charge will be applied for any returned checks.
PRE-REGISTRATION
Individuals should pre-register by completing the enclosed application and
returning it along with a $100.00 registration fee to EMSNP. Deadline for
pre-registration is OCTOBER 20, 2008 . Individuals who fail to pre-register
will be accepted on a "space available" basis. The registration
fee will be applied toward the course fee of $200.00. Applications received
without payment of the registration fee will be deemed not to have pre-registered.
REFUNDS WILL NOT BE MADE AFTER THE FIRST CLASS
SESSION FOLLOWING REGISTRATION NIGHT.
